Dumbarton youngsters enjoy free storytelling with Santa

More than 50 youngsters headed to Artizan Shopping Centre at the weekend to enjoy festive storytelling sessions with Santa.

On Saturday, 3 December, locals flocked to the Dumbarton shopping centre to mark the start of Christmas with free ‘Stories with Santa’, including everything from word games and children’s crafts to winter tales and Santa’s friend, Belinda Bookworm.

Stewart Gilmour, Artizan’s Operations Manager, said the Christmas event had been a huge success with everyone having an amazing time at the centre’s Community Hub. “Everyone was delighted to meet Santa and Belinda Bookworm at Artizan on Saturday,” he said. “We had almost 60 excited children listening to brilliant Christmas tales and playing games with Belinda.”

As part of Artizan’s event, parents and their children were also able to enjoy free fun at craft workshops throughout the day. “We were really pleased to see so many children taking part,” he said. “They made personalised bookmarks to take home along with their free book from Santa.

“We hope all of Dumbarton’s youngsters had a great time and enjoyed meeting Santa and Belinda Bookworm as much as we all did,” he said.
